As the name suggests it is a roller on the skin - a roller with numerous short needles sticking out ! The rollers differ in the length of those needles on it. It ranges from 1.0 mm to 2.5 mm.

What does a roller do ? A Dermaroller is rolled on the skin, to & fro, depending on the skin problem to be treated. These needles will penetrate the skin creating micro injuries . These micro injuries of the skin will stimulate the growth of new collagen & refreshes the skin.

Who can do a dermaroller ? The superficial or shorter needle Dermaroller can be used for anyone who needs to get a refreshed skin. It can be used once in a month for 2-3 times. The deep needling can be done for those with

  • How is the treatment like ? The nurse will clean your skin & apply a numbing cream for about 30-45 minutes.You will have to purchase the dermaroller, & it can be re-used once or twice again for the later sessions. Once numbed, the cream is wiped off & the doctor will use the dermaroller to roll it to & fro in the areas of treatment .Sometimes pin point bleeding occurs on the skin. It will take about 15-20min to complete the procedure. Vitamin & Hyaluronic acid creams will be applied which has to be kept for at least 4-6 hrs. Depending on the condition to be treated, it is done once or as 3-4 sessions.

    What are the after care ? The skin may look red for 1-2 days. The skin will be sensitive to sun for 2 -3 weeks , so a sunscreen of SPF 30 or above should be applied Exfoliants and Retinoic acid / Retinol containing creams should be applied only after 2-3 days of dermaroller.

    When can results be seen ? You can start appreciating the feel of a fresher & plumper skin in 3-4 weeks time.
