Hair Transplantation is a surgical technique that moves individual hair follicles from a part of the body called the 'donor site' to bald or balding part of the body known as the 'recipient site'. Its a good choice if a limited number of grafts are required and a quick healing time with a minimal discomfort after surgery.

How long will notice surgery has been done on head ? Usually it takes 7 to 10 days to clear the scabs (dried blood). If you have white or fair skin the redness in the plantation area may remain for 3-6 weeks and you may have to avoid sun exposure. If you can wear a cap for this period things can go unnoticed.
Are the results permanent ? Since the hair follicles that are transplanted to the bald areas are genetically and hormone resistant to going bald, they will continue to grow for a life time just as if they had been left in the bald resistant donor area.
When will new hairs grow ? After the hairs are transplanted it takes a week for the skin to settle. Hairs will begin to grow during the first month and then drop out without leaving visible signs of hair transplant. It is normal for 100% of transplanted hairs to fall during the first month post procedure. The transplanted follicles go into rest for about 3 or 4 months until growth resumes. Then the hairs start growing normally.
